What is graphic design?
Graphic Design functions in society as a communications tool. Messages, information, ideas, and identification are represented through the use of visual graphics which include type, symbols, illustrations, and photographs. The end product is generally a given space harmoniously composed of these visual elements viewed by a consumer or audience in the form of printed or other visual media. Hence, graphic design is also referred to as visual communication.
A graphic designer's intent is to create a memorable impression on the consumer or audience. Skill and strategy are typically necessary to produce successful treatments.
